The purpose of Convergent.Studio is to increase interaction and flow between the Kelowna arts and technology communities, through the creation of a project that provides an immersive work experience, mentorship and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The success outcome — new relationships formed, new initiatives developed and a culture of intensive collaboration between typically disparate community groups. Our ambition is to create new examples of how technology and the arts are intertwined, illustrating the symbiotic nature of art and tech in how the works are created with the goal of highlighting the creative immersed in a technology environment, and the technologist in a creative environment.
We are envisioning a cultural hub where educational, artistic, and entrepreneurial values are cultivated and exchanged. This project will be supported through careful consideration of the environment, qualities of the immersion, programs, events and activities, and types of collaboration with others.

The Alternator Centre
The Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art is a registered non-profit charitable organization dedicated to the development of our creative community.
Since 1989, the Alternator has shown the work of emerging Canadian artists and helped develop the talents of local artists by providing a network of collaboration and sharing.
We believe in the greater positive potential of our creative community and value our role as key contributors to the cultural life of Kelowna and beyond.
co+Lab
Since 2011, Okanagan co+Lab has been supporting new entrepreneurs and inspired creative professionals to work in a new way — through coworking. We are a community of people who choose to work together, more productively, to make our work, our lives, our cities and communities better.
The co+Lab has been home to more than 100 people — helping them find their career path, start and grow a business, and be a part of an amazing community. Being a coworking space means we live through values of Community, Collaboration, Accessibility, Sustainability and Openness.
Our goal is to be the best work environment for a global community of creators, makers, and changemakers.
